Sustainable, scalable innovative transformative creative solutions to transform lives
ATECF is one of India’s largest non-CSR philanthropies set up purely to manage the giving of Archana & Amit Chandra and the A.T.E. Group
WHY WE DO IT
We are driven by a sense of duty and purpose to our nation.
* Please note that we are not a fundraising foundation or a trust.
Our Approach
At ATECF, we want to bring urgency to giving wealth and time to drive impact for India. It goes beyond traditional philanthropy to make a meaningful difference. Our guiding principles are:
-
Our approach is a holistic one. We spend a lot of time and effort identifying the root causes as opposed to just addressing the symptoms. One of our key themes is using data and evidence in all our work.
-
Conventional ideas may not always work for the social sector, especially given the urgency that we strive for. We know that we do not have all answers and love betting on ideas and leaders who think differently or think out of the box.
-
We want to build tools that are open source. Right from platforms to templates, that are multilingual, and available for anyone to use. We often find that these are great levers to scale.
-
Collaborate to amplify impact: We know that we cannot do everything on our own and therefore while we work with NGOs on the ground, we and mindfully collaborate with other donors as well as the government, to amplify impact. We have realised that many of us tend to work in silos. So we ask ourselves, how do you we work with like-minded doers? How do you we match people to work with governments? All of these efforts eventually ensure we solve problems at scale.
