Who we are

Anuj Bhagwati, Archana, and Amit Chandra, long-standing friends bonded by shared values, united in 2013 to establish the Foundation. Driven by a sense of duty to give back generously, both with their time and finances—an ethos they had embraced since the early stages of their professional journeys—they aimed to make a significant societal impact. Over time, they cultivated a shared belief that addressing society’s most pressing issues in a sustainable and scalable manner is the most meaningful use of what they are blessed with. Their diverse inspirations range from Guru Nanak’s philosophy of “Kirat Kar – Te Vand Chakh” (work honestly and give generously) to Chuck Feeney’s principle of “Giving While Living,” which emphasizes the importance of giving one’s best in both effort and magnitude. They recognized that achieving substantial, positive change collaboratively—with a high-performing team executing the vision, co-creating with communities, and partnering with governments and other ecosystem players—would be the key to driving transformation at scale.

We are a dedicated team of professionals from diverse backgrounds, including chartered accountancy, law, and academia. United by our shared passion for driving meaningful change, we are committed to building an equitable India and addressing the nation’s most pressing challenges.
